Sorry............I don't get it?

I'll let you into a little secret.

There's some stuff I just don't get.

See below.

Maybelline Great Lash Mascara. For some reason everyone loves it. It's the best selling mascara ever and the worlds number one selling cosmetic product. They reckon they sell a tube every 1.6 seconds in America and apparently Maybelline sold almost 13 million tubes in 2007. Me? I just don't get it. I've tried it. A few times. And didn't think it was up to much. Give me Mac Zoom Lash or Bourjois Extreme Volume any day of the week.

Don't get this either. Or Angry Birds. Although both games seem to have gripped the nation. Having been told on numerous occasions how 'addictive' this game was, I couldn't help but give it a try. And I was bored. I think I lasted ten minutes. I've never really been into games of any sort. Computer or board. Except Monopoly. I love Monopoly.

Poker. Now this is something I would love to understand. Many boyfriends have tried (and failed) to explain to me how to play. But for some reason I just can't get the hang of this card game. Although to be fair to me, I've always been pretty inebriated when such teaching has occurred. Hopefully if I were to attempt it sober, I would actually get it. Hopefully. Cause I'm smarter than I look. I think.

Now this one drives me nuts. Why, why, why do people insist on launching into acute detail about the dream they had last night? I mean seriously, this one is up there with having to look through holiday snaps of people you have never met. Telling me about your dream is literally the most boring thing you could ever do to me. When someone starts to describe their nocturnal fantasies a part of me dies inside.

I fear that Harry Potter has become such an obsession in our nation that there is no way of saying you don't like it without coming across as a twat. But I really don't. And I tried. I really did. But the whole time I was reading I just felt like I was reading, well, a childrens book. Same goes for the movie. I'm aware that I'm in the minority here. But it just doesn't do it for me. Neither does Twilight. I'm pretty sure you will be able to add The Hunger Games to this list pretty soon as well. Maybe I just don't like following the crowd. Or maybe I am just an ADULT??? Sorry.......couldn't resist.

There's probably about a million things I could add to this list. But I'm tired. And kind of sick of listening to myself moaning. So there you go. Things I don't get.

Night.

I don't mind hearing about people's dreams as long as they're entertaining. Draw Something . . . I sort of love it and hate it in equal measures. Now it's became a burden because I have about 25 games going and no time to play it. With you on the mascara. Remember back in the day when Maybelline wasn't available over here and the magazines would rave about it and how it was only four dollars? Then it did come over here and was waaaay more than the equivalent of four dollars and . . . yeah, pretty pish actually!

I remember buying this mascara when it first came out in the uk and thing "whaaaa?". I bought it again a few weeks ago as I couldn't believe it could still be so popular if it was as shit as I thought. I am still bemused.

I think I hate the dream thing because it never actually happened. If someone actually HAD pulled Angelina Jolie and halfway through kissing them they turned into their Aunt Hilda I think that's a story I would really enjoy. But when it's a dream all I can think is......BUT THIS DIDN'T ACTUALLY HAPPEN SO WHO CARES.......xx
