Product Review: Energex Plus

I was recently sent a box of Healthspan's Energex Plus tablets to try.

This is what they say:

Modern lifestyles often put a strain on our energy resources, whether it's going to work, jobs around the house, or making those long, tiring journeys. At Healthspan we believe in "living younger" and not letting anything get in the way of living an active lifestyle. This is why our nutrition experts have developed Energex Plus; an advanced formulation for anyone looking for a natural "pick me up".

These appealed to me big time. The reason?

Her name is Ava, she is 10 months old and she is still a long way off sleeping through the night. In fact last night she had me up nine times.

That's right. NINE TIMES.

I am shattered. Eternally shattered. I seem to be living my life in a constant state of exhaustion and I can't remember the last time I slept for more than 4 hours straight. Usually I rely on a combination of coffee and junk food to get me through the particularly tired days, so when these landed on my doorstep, I figured they were most definitely worth a go.

The tablets contain advanced Guarana, Panax Ginseng, Amino Acid & B Vitamin Complex. Dosage is 1 tablet per day (never exceeding 2 per day).

And do they work?

Yes.

I stuck to the same rule I apply to coffee and never took one after noon as although I am usually knackered I can still sometimes have trouble getting to sleep at night. The first test was after a night out with friends. Nights out with friends are rare these days given that looking after a baby with a hangover is hell, particularly when they get up at 6am. So at 7.30am I took a tablet and waited to see what happened. It should be noted I skipped my usual coffee so that I would be able to feel the effects properly. By 10am I was in a great mood, tickling Ava and chasing her down the hall. I didn't even feel hungover anymore and these effects lasted till about 4pm. I am sure if I had taken another one I would have perked right up again but not wanting to risk insomnia, I just took myself off to bed early instead.

I've tried these tablets since then after particularly bad nights with Ava and they always have the same effect. Within an hour or two I feel much more energised and refreshed and I don't suffer from any of the coffee side-effects that my body has become so used to like permanent thirst or that yucky caffeine comedown mid-afternoon.

Luckily you gets loads of tablets in a box so although I have needed them on a few occasions, I still have loads left and will definitely be recommending them to anyone in a similar situation as I am. These are particularly great for anyone who wants a pick me up that doesn't involve reaching for the Red Bull or the Pro-Plus.

You can purchase these tablets here or find out more about other Healthspan products here.

Product received for review purposes: but opinions 100% my own.
Always. X

Great site you have here but I was wanting to know if you knew of any discussion boards that cover the same topics discussed in this article?

I'd really love to be a part of online community where I can get comments from other experienced individuals that share the same interest. If you have any recommendations, please let me know. Cheers!
