This Halloween...

In October of 2014, two innocent people went missing near Milngavie in Glasgow while taking photos of an old abandoned building. The next day some of their footage was found.

Here are the pictures.

Not really. But I did want to do something a bit different to stuffing my face with mini boxes of smarties and necking cava this Halloween and so I managed to talk my boyfriend into pulling some strings and arranging a bit of ghost hunting for us at an old building in Glasgow that had been laying empty for some time. Being the hospitable kinda guy that he is he arranged just that and let me tell you - it was a pretty spooky way to spend Halloween night.

Maybe it was the fact that it was such a dark and spooky night. Maybe it was the fact that we were genuinely the only two people in the whole building (or at least the only two living people). Or maybe it was the fact that we found a door that read 'keep shut and locked'.

Which of course we completely ignored...

...and discovered this spiral staircase.

I haven't seen my boyfriend since he went up there...

Maybe it was the fact that there was no electricity and so we had to navigate the underground vaults with only torches as companions. Or maybe it was the thousands of Candymanesque dead bees that adorned every windowsill that sent that shiver down my spine...

It could have been the spooky way there were still pictures of kids hanging on the walls, or the single vhs tape that lay abandoned in the middle of the floor...

Or maybe it was the fact that when we both got home, warmed our chilled bones and started looking through our photos, neither of us could work out what this was.

How did you spend your Halloween?
