What's the perfect way to round off a sunny weekend on the Isle of Arran? That would be an invitation to the exclusive Scottish Hair & Beauty Awards at The Hilton on Sunday night.
So after a gorgeous couple of days, I hopped off the ferry in Ardrossan (slightly sunburnt and a teeny bit hungover) and hotfooted it home to get the rollers in and the lippy on to attend one of the most glamorous events in the Scottish calendar.
After a quick trip up the red carpet we were welcomed with a champagne reception and a chance to mingle with a medley of finalists, celebs, press and some of the best professionals in the Scottish health and beauty industry.
Then it was onto dinner. I was lucky enough to be invited along as a guest of Alison Jameson Consultants and the many gorgeous ladies at our table included blogger and editor Laura Pearson-Smith, Sarah of The Scottish Beauty Blog, STV girls Gill & Laura and showbiz reporters Niamh & Beverley. After a short intro from INAA director and organiser Ruthanne Reid it was onto a 4 course dinner before we settled down, glass of wine in hand, to watch Romeo of Clyde 1 fame and TV presenter Josie Smith present the actual awards.
Sadly a 5.30 am wake up call for work the next morning meant I had to beat a hasty retreat before I got a chance to throw some shapes to DJ Jodie Harsh's set later on. Gutted. But I was grateful for my sensibility when that alarm went off the next day.
As always, here's some photos from the night.......
