LATELY
- It's officially cold. Meaning that our weekly ice-cream trips to Valentini's will have to be eaten in the car. As opposed to in the beer garden in the pub next door. Hard times.
- I finally paid a visit to Glasgow Cathedral. It's ridiculous that I have lived here so long and never ventured in. Mind blowing.
- Still obsessed with sticking solitary flowers into empty gin bottles. But I have branched out a little by purchasing a couple of little apothecary style jars that I have adorned with some sweet little wild flowers and babies breath and put in the bathroom. Makes me smile every time I brush my teeth.
- I had one of these mini slider burgers on National Burger Day. Because it would have been rude not to right?
- An amazing Mexican tomato soup that I covered in nachos, sweet potato fries, feta cheese and sour cream. I am all about pimping one's soup. Especially as it's getting a little brisk round these parts.
- Street food is the best food. And that chicken tikka wrap up there got me all kinds of messy at the Balloch food festival. Those chips of Ava's were pretty damn tasty to boot.
- Tuesday night football watching in the pub. As I'm not really a football girl those little bottles of prosecco seriously help. Although I am discovering I might be a rugby girl. Come on Scotland...
- Wherever we go that little girl of mine always finds a sandpit. It's seriously lucky this mummy knows to always keep a bucket and spade in the boot for emergencies.
- Monday drinks with the girls at Las Iguanas. Where we exchanged the funniest stories and drank way too many cocktails. This is how you do Mondays.
- Lots of yummy food at a blogger event at Jamie Oliver's on George Square. Which reminds me that I need to get cracking on trying some of the recipes in his newest cookbook. Even though my iPhone is creaking under the weight of the million other recipes I have saved in my bookmarks. I need more people to cook for!
- Egg fried rice topped with a fried egg, a bit of avocado and some chilli flakes. Might have made this three nights in a row.
- I lucked out with the last bit of sun at Loch Lomond shores recently. Bouncy castles, live music, beer and the sand between your toes. What more does a girl need?
